This is my first post about how I am using 5figureday to build my mailing list!
To start the whole process and quickly build your initial list of 2-300 people, 5 Figure Day recommends purchasing Solo Ads. Now we all know Solo Ads are definitely the most beneficial and best route to go, especially seeings how that is essentially the reason we want our own mailing lists. However, going that route is neither cheap, or necessarily always quick.
You can purchase on average 50-100 clicks from a Solo Ad for anywhere between $35 to $75 dollars. Now, let's say you were to get a 50% (high) click signup rate, you are getting on average 37 sign ups for $55. According to 5 Figure Day we need at least 200 signups to start ad swapping for free, so we need to purchase 5-6 of these solo ads which would run you about $250-$500. Now, most people wanting to use this system, is because it is both FREE and already set up, so I doubt dropping $500 is an option. So that all being said, I am going to take other routes, see what happens and track it all for the rest of you to see through my mistakes, what worked and what did not.
The first thing I am attempting, other than hammering my (small) social networks of friends and family, will be banner exchanges using my personal website. For those of you that do not have a website for banner exchanges, I strongly recommend using
Project "Robin Hood". This is a free system that pays you to share YouTube videos and allows you to place your own ad beside all the videos you share. On top of that, PRH pays you for every time someone watches a video you share, so you can put that money towards advertising/promoting your 5figureday website.
The first 2 banner exchanges I will be testing out are:
1800 Banners
The Banner Exchange
I have now been running both of these banner exchanges for 2 days and here are my results and opinions.
Starting with 1800 banners:
- Sent to my ad = 107,245 impressions resulting in 24 clicks and 0 5figureday opt-ins
- Credits earned = 16,495 credits.
The results and numbers from this website are questionable and confusing. Why have I received over 100,000 impressions for only providing 16,000? And 24 clicks with no opt-ins, that is unheard of with 5figureday, if you send 24 clicks, you should expect at bare minimum 5 registrations/leads. Though these are the numbers, and yes they look, something about this website feels a little off for me, so I am likely going to be switching their ad location with another banner exchange.
And now on to The Banner Exchange
- Sent to my ad = 2,417 impressions resulting in 2 clicks and 1 5figureday opt-in.
- Credits earned = 2,230.5 credits
This system has some flaws in their usability, as well as give few details about your account. However, this in my opinion is much closer to proper statistics that unlike 1800banners, does not seem made up at all. The ratios here, click through rate and sign ups are all well worth leaving them up for another 2 day stretch.
So to sum it up, 1800banners is questionable in their legitimacy, and are likely one of the reasons you will so often hear "banner exchanges are only good for the people running them". The Banner Exchange, got real results and sign ups and as of right now, I would be recommending them to others.
I will be doing some research in to other banner exchanges, so I can replace 1800 banners, and will post an update with 2 - 3 days.
Let's all build a huge list a 5FigureDay, and if you do not yet have your FREE website, click the ad below and signup now. I guarantee by following me you will build a huge list and make substantial amounts of money.
